Bummer.
Nothing worse than running out of gas while delivering a bridge.

Judging by the grafitti on the turned-up underside of the flange, that isn't the first time for that bridge, either.  Maybe time to install an overheight detector ahead of that one?  After all, 11' 0" is pretty low for a public road...

I'd guess the "OOPS" is photoshop.

The OOPS is actually on the bridge, no PS (or BS) at all.

That bridge gets nailed regularly-maybe 6-8 times a year-despite numerous warnings and re-route indications. It is known locally as the Truck Eating Bridge.

Oughta see that when it happens with a consist of double-stacks. While at my last job, it happened quite a lot. Always did crack me up to get the call: Uh, this is Joe at [insert railyard here]. Trainmaster asked me to noto you guys on a low-bridge Chicago. That's right, peeled back a carload. Sorry bout that.

I picked up a load of Brach's candy in Chicago once, I took a left out the gate and a few blocks later---Low Underpass 12'6". I stopped 4 ways flashing, blocking a lane of traffic.
A guy must have been waiting for guys like me, he jumped up to the step, and said for 20 dollars I'll get you thru. While on the step he told me to pull over into the uncoming lane. That guy had Gounod's, he waved and blocked traffic and I scooted under, just waiting for things to get tight, my stacks were 13'6"  and just barely tweaked one. 20 bucks was pretty cheap, compared what it would have cost me to buy off a cop.

Ramblings of an old fart.
