Only because there are twelve.  Wink

Any comments on what works, (or doesn't work) in your view ... identity, contrast, composition, background, texture ... which might you pull from the set, which might stand alone?

Tungsten and neon lighting.  43mm or 55mm, some with tube or diopter lens.

interesting shots

I took a little different approach, moving in closer, using stronger directional light

I lay the drill down on textured white art paper, helps make the tool pop.

all this I have written is just subjective poop, but might trigger an idea or approach for you

Very different, with a strong emphasis on colour.  It's also funny how the texture of the acorn cap reflects the red wheel.

For me, the textures and compositions of the brush and the files work best.  Partly, I think that is due to filling up the picture space with the subject.

# 7, 10 and 11 work best for me. 11 for the diagonals and textures, 7 for the round, striking contrast and clear shape; 10 for the unexpected holes and the texture.

# 9 is interesting too, tools talking to each other...that's an idea.   WJ gave a good hint, photographing tools with unexpected objects.
