You guys have turned me on to some great free software and stuff like OpenOffice, so I'm wondering if you can help me out with this one...

I'm looking for a program to make DVD slideshows of pictures that is freeware.  I used a demo of some program to do this one time, but it was limited to a certain # of images without buying the full program.  There is just so much good software out there that's free, I'm hoping I can find something good without paying for it.  :-P

And it can be pretty basic.  Don't need anything fancy.  I guess just the ability to change the amount of time each image is shown.  And some simple transitions like a fade would be nice.  Adding music would be gravy.

This is for Windows by the way.  I used Windows Movie Maker one time, but it made the photos very low resolution.

Joseph - I use Nero, which does all of my CD/DVD burning requirements.  The DVD slideshow feature is pretty good too.

Try here:

Oh...DUH!  I actually have Nero -- came with my DVD burner.  I never noticed it has a slideshow feature until now.  Will definitely give that a try.  Thanks, Graham.

Hehe, I knew some wise guy was going to suggest getting a Mac.  Just send me the $, Aaron.  At your level of enlightenment, money is probably of little importance right?  :p
