I'm sure many of you have come across this, but maybe a few haven't.  I was encouraged to try after reading this guy's site:

Being the extreme cheapskate that I am I tried it immediately, and it made the popup actually usable, although I learned that they are not anywhere near powerful enough for this kind of stuff really.

Of course since I now have an SB28 I don't need this any more, but it encouraged me to buy one since the results were good.

This was all in the days B.S. ("Before Strobist" before anybody gets any other ideas) Smiley

That diffuser is ok, but that bounce tool really does nice things!

Yes indeed!

Dug out a couple of examples (sorry - had the family over otherwise would have done it earlier):





First one bounced off a white board, second off a painted white door.  TTL metering, P mode IIRC (this was 1 1/2 years ago so memory rather hazy).
