Wasn't sure if I should put these here or in the Film area.
1. I wanted to share my examples of HP5+ @ 1600 in Ilfosol S
2. I wanted to share my photos of our trip! Wink

I wanted to do some available light photography in the museum (which I knew was low light) and also see how HP5+ was at 1600. I chose Ilfosol S (which I know is not recommended for this 'pushing') because I wanted to see what it would do, and because I am getting paraniod about it going 'bad' and wanted to use it up.

The man that started it all:

Family outside:

Hallway / bridge:

My daughter:

The one that got away...

All shot at the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller Alberta, using a Canon Elan 7N with 50mm f1.8 lens.

Wonderful shots.  I love them all, especially the hallway.

Never tried the film or the developer, but your results certainly seem good to me.  That's a very fine portrait of your daughter, but the rest are very nice as well.
Did you mention what camera?  I've got some tri-x in my 35-RC right now; I'm thinking I ought to take it to some dark place.

Like your daughter's portrait best, but all are fine photos. Cool film/developer combination. Will keep as reference.

Andre', that combination seems to work pretty well - how is the grain, compared to normal development?

Nice shots, especially of your cute daughter.  "Royal" Tyrrell Museum?  Good to know traditions are alive and well on your side of the pond.

Republicans in Canada?  There must be some but I am content to sponge off the UK taxpayers for a head of state.  I sure wouldn't want the commander and chief type of arrangement down south.

Graham - The images are rather grainy, but better than I expected. Next time I will try the DD-X I have. I have only ever developed HP5+ @ ISO 800 in DD-X, which were nicer.

connealy - I used an Elan 7N / 50mm f1.8 lens combination. (In a previous post somewhere... I used a Vivitar 35 ES rangefinder with HP5+. The Vivitar has an f1.7 lens...great combo for low light work)

KirkT - I also like the hallway - thanks. I think it works better as a square (cropping the bottom off)

Thanks for all the comments!
