In general terms, given my failure with the Agfa rangefinder repair, how difficult is a shutter CLA on one of these?

No idea, but Dean Williams can put her right for you, perhaps even guide you through it. Contact him.

Phule, at that price, I'd suggest you pull the trigger before waiting for a lot of advice (may already be too late, I haven't looked).  Generally, a shutter CLA on one of these is likely to be only a few screws and some covering harder than one on a folder, and even the Yashikor is a good lens -- if that's got the Yashinon, it's worth paying Dean to go through it.

I don't know your skill levels, as far as camera repair goes, Phule.

To get to the shutter on these, you remove the front leather, the plate the leather was attached to, the lens nacelle, (the part with the holes in it that surrounds the lenses.  Then you can remove the taking lens and the front of the shutter to clean the escapements.  If the shutter is just firing slow, or sticking on the slow speeds, that should be it.

If the aperture or shutter blades themselves are sticking, it's a lot more disassembly.

Well, I couldn't get the top plate off an Agfa ( http://www.nelsonfoto.com/v/showthread.php?t=8404 ) and my only other time inside a camera was removing the ring from the back of a Holga lens.  So...let's put that skill level at about a 1.

Smiley

But I missed the sale anyway thanks to weekend activities.  Oh well, I'm sure another will come along.
