Well, I went wandering through a big swap meet where I happened upon a Canonet GIII QL19. Just like the QL17, but a fraction of a stop slower lens. I was lucky enough to pay only $2 (Canadian!) and I retreated to my cave. When I emerged, the rangefinder was removed, cleaned, and re-aligned.
This is my first canonet, and I have to say I've quite impressed with how the rangefinder functions. It is bright and contrasty, with good automatic parallax adjustment. Here's a pic with my new "El-Cheapo" lighting rig:

Comp-wiz, I'll give you five times what you paid, and pay the shipping...  Wink

You should have a really good shooter there, in all seriousness.  I've got a "lowly" Canonet 28 (f/2.8 Tessar clone) that's so good it's become my first camera to grab -- all I have to do is flip the aperture into "A" and focus.  The only thing I'd wish for is more manual control -- sometime I'm just going to have to get a G-III with the faster lens.  Smiley

Put some Fuji Reala thought that.  If it displays have as well as my old QL17 GIII did, you'll be seriously impressed.
