HA!!!  That was a good laugh.  Someone's commentary on overpriced Kijiji sales.

With my film images, as filled with accident and technical serendipidity as they are, I feel like they are *my* pictures.

So true!!!

and yet next to thighs i think wings are the tastiest

I agree with you on the thighs.

Mmmmm... grilled chicken thighs with a tequila habanero bbq sauce (store-bought sauce, but very tasty)

at the moment they are super cheap ,like wings around $2.00aus @kilo......

I only wish that wings were 'cheap'.  It's always puzzled me that wings never drop below $3.99CDN/lb around here.  Every chicken has two wings, two drumsticks, two thighs, and two breasts.  One can routinely buy drumsticks and thighs for $1.99CDN/lb, and boneless-skinless breasts for $3.99-4.99CDN/lb - yet wings are never cheap.

Weird.

Just so we're not going around saying things like "ATM machine" and such

or everyone's favorite:  "Triple AAA"

Unless they actually mean AAAAAAAAA !

Loging-in, nearly all day, has been impossible. I began to wonder if the site had somehow gone down. Even the log-in page would not come up. AmI doing something wrong?

I saw the same thing earlier; that was the only time I tried to reach the site today, so I've no idea how long it lasted.
12  General / The F Stops Here / Re: Error on Log-in on: September 08, 2012, 08:11:00 AM
Haven't gotten an error logging in; I have my computer remember the password, and occasionally I'll connect to NFF and it'll look like a guest session.  I reload and it logs me in.

However I did get an error message - very similar to the one Phil posted above - the other day when I tried to post a reply.

Lemme see if this one works.
13  Dude, I'm Geekin' Out Over Here! / Film & Darkroom / Re: Sad news out of Fuji land on: July 31, 2012, 06:17:23 PM
Sad but not surprising, most of the older photographers who got on the digital bandwagon ages ago were shooting slide film by the crate load. There's one lab left in Greater Toronto, metropolitan area of almost 6 million people that processes E-6.

Oi - I didn't know it was that bad in TO.

Luckily, for now we still have a lab in downtown Ottawa that does next-day E-6 (an extra day if you want scans or mounting).  $10.99/roll iirc + $4.99 for low-res scans that are pretty good.

And upcoming birthdays are no longer available.  But I figure they were not part of the original configuration, which is what we are running under now?  At least I have all the emoticons available now.

PF

Well I'm not complaining; I'll gratefully take what we've got.
