I need lessons on how you solicit these people for portraits.  I can't seem to shoot anyone but my son...  Roll Eyes

Inspiring work, Mark.  Is this the genesis of another book?

Scott, thanks! I hope to find a publisher but will have to wait until I'm finished. Cross your fingers for me!
9  Gearheads / Bigger Is Better / This Year's Portrait Series on: October 25, 2012, 10:54:16 AM
2012 has been an interesting year for me photographically.
I started this series in January as a way to dispel the stereotype of the Occupy movement.
If someone would have told me that I would photograph Dr. Vandana Shiva, Ralph Nader, Dr. Jill Stein, Pulitzer prize winning journalist Chris Hedges, S. Brian Willson and more, I would not have believed it.
I am almost two-thirds of the way toward my 99 people goal.
Not really trying to provoke politics just wanted to share the photographic side.
 Grin

Dr. Jill Stein, Green Party presidential candidate.

All were shot with my Hasselblad 500CM, 250/5.6 Sonnar lens (often with extension tube), except a few shot with 120/5.6 S-Planar.

I'm reluctantly selling this very sharp lens on ebay.

Really nice Scott! I can only imagine how great a contact print would look.
It's been nice seeing your work evolve to such a high state.

Interesting concept, agree it's overpriced. Wasn't there an Asian man who was doing something similar and converting Polaroid :Land cameras to 6x12 or 6x18? I remember he made one for Gene the Found Film Feller.

If they were 99.99 I might go for it.

The B&W version above in the "color or no color" post is my favorite.
