A couple of weeks ago I acquired a "Waldorf Minicam" 127 camera from Todd G, which had an exposed roll of 127 VP still in it.  The camera's shutter (spring-loaded box camera type) had a problem with firing every time, but I fixed that (and that's a story for another forum).

Anyway, I developed this roll and a second one that I shot (both were VP but the one I shot came from my own stock) in Caffenol-C.  I figured the age of the film would be a factor in development, and looking over the development chart (D-76 stock) for Verichrome Pan, I saw a time of 6 minutes; so I figured a longer time would be necessary.

Turns out I was right in choosing 10 minutes at 68◦ - I got what appear to be evenly developed negatives, nice tones overall.  No fogging that I can see, even on the found film.  The original owner (not Todd G) obviously had a problem with the shutter a long time ago, because there are only 4 or 5 actual images on the neg strip.  I got 16 on the one I shot.

Agitation was 3 slow inversions at the top of each minute.  This seems to work in most cases for me, and takes about 10-11 seconds.

The negatives will be shipped back to Todd for scanning, since such a thing is not available thru any commercial lab in my area.  Samples will be forthcoming after that.

Just thought you'd like to know.
