.......no not the chimpanzee....

in a moment of inspired madness.(i just woke up and it's 3.40 am) probably from the semi comatose
state between sleeping and waking i was musing with idea of using bubbly mineral water (or soda water fer you yanks Smiley ) to develop a roll of something in B&W.
Stand Dev,Rodinal, 1:100 maybe 30-40 minutes.
has anyone dabbled with this?

only thought I have is that the water is carbonic acid and the Rodinal is a strong base... reaction to the 9th degree..

ahh yes.....i had not thought about that.
that is why i became an electrician ...and not a chemist :p

rodinal is not my only choice, i still have about a gallon T-Max developer concentrate, and some ilford developer, as well as the odd ball Parodinal/coffeenal

it was just a thought i had as for some reason i remembered a part of the dev instructions for a kodak C-41 kit that i have.i printed the dev guides off from the kodak web site an when reading through them it mentioned a nitrogen bubble agitation process.
but tanks(sic) in any case larry for reminding my about the fact that bases and acids can be volatile companions.
