Very nice, Jason.  [These are pinholes, right?]

Thanks guys! Yep, they're pinholes. 8x10 paper negatives in my homemade camera. I can't get contact prints to come out right with the paper negatives, but they scan wonderfully.

Wonderful Jason, especially the waterfalls.  You do have a way of picking good subject matter.

Outstanding, Jason.
Do you find paper negatives more tone-friendly (less contrasty) than those specialty positive papers?

Will, I haven't used any of the positive papers. I've been pretty happy with scanning paper negatives, but not as much contact printing them. I give a post flash to bring up the shadow details, but I just end up with either detailed muddy or pitch black shadows with no detail. With the post flash I can get about five stops based on my my digital camera's histogram. I've also given some extra post-flashing to bring up shadows for really contrasty scenes with bright sun and deep shadows. Again, printing looks not so good but I can scan them and bring out the tones quite nicely. I should try contact printing on some different paper. I've had good results in the past, but my current paper (Arista FB) doesn't seem to like the process. Or at least I can't get it to. Smiley

I can't believe these are pinholes, they are outstanding, as well as the ones from the other set from last month.
