Not me - but if you want a list of what Kodak cameras do, try:

http://www.kodak.com/global/en/consumer/products/techInfo/aa13/aa13.shtml

there's a link there to a pdf version as well.

Looks like old 3A cameras were it.  Another source says it was only discontinued in 1971.

I have a 3A and have used it a few times with 122.  It makes a HUGE negative! I took it once with me to England and France and took some pictures in Bath, Stonehenge, and the Newfoundland national war memorial park in Beaumont-Hamel.

Its biggest drawback is how you have to develop the film -- it was a nearly 45-minute process of dipping and dunking in the various chemicals because of the age of the film I was using. Almost all in the complete dark. much harder than ordinary film. Smiley

I shot my 122 film in a No. 3 Brownie box camera some years ago -- got the film first, in a jumble box from an old friend, then bought the camera so I could use it.  Crazy, right?  And had to borrow a friend's darkroom to dip-and-dunk it.  Only six frames per roll, because it was intended to be Autographic film, I think, or maybe because eight frames would just make it be ridiculously long.

Unfortunately I gave the No. 3 away to somebody, or I'd offer it to you, Erie.

Pete, appreciated, but I'm trying to divest myself of some stuff, in this "batch" of stuff, I also got some (lots) of cans of D11, D19, D50, D50 replen, DK-60A, DK60A replen, a Morse 9.5" aerial processor with 5 tanks (and power drive, wall bracket, etc...) and 3 copier boxes of raw chemistry. The raw chems I can use, some of the cans of dev I can use, but damn, I have 10 copier boxes full of perfectly good chemistry sitting here that I'll likely never use.

Phillip, if you still have your 3A, and have interest in some verichrome pan ~1970, I'd gladly send it to you.

Erie, if you're looking for divestiture, so to speak, I'm always looking for something new in the way of developers.  Which of those you mentioned are film developers?

Hi Erie,

I just got my hands on a 3A and don't know what else to do with it. If Philip is uninterested in the Verichrome Pan, I would be.

Erie, Thanks, I'd love to have a roll -- or more! Smiley

I'm not very concerned about its age -- I shot some 1960s b&w a few months ago and it was almost as good as new.

I'll be glad to pay for the shipping.  I'll PM my address.

Hi guys. New here, but I've got at least 5 cameras in 3A format... let's see, there's a 3A Folding Autographic Brownie, a 3A Special Kodak (not the one with the rangefinder, unfortunately), a 3A Folding Brownie Model A, a 3A Premo #8 (well it would use 122 film if I could find a roll holder for it, but at the moment it's plates only), and I just acquired a 3A Graflex, which needs more work than I can afford to pay for right now, so it's going to sit and await my getting some more income.

I've been feeding these with cut-down microfiche (Ortho Copy 5125) acquired from the surplus shed, rolled in salvaged papers.

Then there's one more, which doesn't exactly fit. Seneca's so-called 3A Box Scout... which despite the name is actually a 3B. It takes 125 film. Same size pic, wider spool. Some previous owner painted "Use 122 Film" on the bottom. He was wrong.

I think I'm gonna open a new thread about that one... anybody know what size the 125 spool is supposed to be?  All the references I can find saw 3.992", but that's way off: I measured it.

Erie,  Did you send that film?  I never got it. I wonder if the mails ate it!!

Shalom, I've often through about throwing together something that would allow me to use 120 film across that gaping maw of the 3A film gate.  It'd be fun but I've never gotten around to it.  Have you tried anything like that?

This thread describes how I got 120 film into my 3A.  Worked well, though I was never too happy with the viewfinder and eventually sold it on.

Really neat conversion. I remember seeing that thread three years ago and I think that was haunting the back of my mind when I mentioned running 120 through the 3A.  Thanks for the link!
