That's really neat using the ball head mount for a lens post.  Is it hard to get it aligned again after doing a tilt?

Not many folks can say they made a couple of cameras over Christmas.  Smiley  Nice work, Sandeha.  Really an interesting
effect from the second one.  I like that!

Getting the front standard in perfect alignment is tricky, for sure, but the cam was designed for selective defocus shots.  What needs to be in focus can be done by eye.

You're sick.  You have a sickness.  Step away from the crucible.  You've started casting your own camera parts.  Unhealthy...

Actually, between you and Dean, I'm struck dumb with awe for the metalworking skills here.  As always, impressive stuff.

I have no skills whatsoever.  I am in awe of TWO frickin' cameras you made OVER XMAS!

And you didn't need a program to do that either.  I like it.

Sandeha,
The first one is a work of art.
Yes, I'm talking about the camera.

Beautiful work, Sandeha! I have unmade cameras on Christmas, but never made one, let alone these two beauties.

The viewfinder - is that a RF type?

Here's another I'm happy with ...

Yes, you're probably right, Paul, lens grinding is all that's left now.  Especially as I've just used up the last of my cherrywood and brass on this ...

But for the moment think I'll stick with readymade lenses, so if anybody has an old shuttered 175mm they're not likely to use again, let me know.  Wink

Julio, the viewfinder came free with some misty auxiliary lenses, from a Taron rangefinder.
