Is this fix acceptable?

Every once in a while, I mess up a shot so badly, it seems like nothing can help it.  So when I saw what happened on this shot, I figured there wasn't much to loose trying to make something of it.

Okay, so I messed this one up by not holding the "Infinity" button on the camera.  But I had an idea I could make something of it. This was at one time Roanoke's tallest building.

After applying a bit of sharpening to it in PSE8, I kind of like the results.  Looks like one of those vintage postcard shots with the hand painted colors.

Phil, that could work as a background for a website or brochure.

It's pretty nifty, and before I saw Will's comment I too thought of an old postcard.  Take your original again and try one of the Artistic filters in PS.  "Dry Brush" is a lot of fun, as is "Poster Edges".  See what you get in one of those.
