Dennis the worst of it is that the photos were on Velvia 50 and I won't get the results back for about two weeks (almost 30 shots left on the roll).

And thanks to all of you for your good wishes.  I can't resist a documentary of the attention I received.  Anne says men don't get 'flu, they get Man Flu, and in my case Man Injuries - as Adam was lifting and picking at the flesh of my big toe she said with great concern "Oh dear, I hope the baby's head is not too big!"

Jim shaving and Hannah just being kind

the medical supplies arrived at last

waiting for the medical supplies my surgeon reads a girlie magazine

the only one who really cared about me during this delay was my son's lovely girlfriend Hannah

pre-medical attention: the wonderful Lifesavers at Rainbow Bay had cleaned me up and patched things to this stage

one of my brothers just called and asked "what happened to the camera!" - safe and sound in this bag - had just slung it bandolier fashion over my back.

taken with the old 55mm f3.5 AIS micro-Nikkor, a splendid lens and I am going to start a thread about it over on the SLRs etc forum

Nice field hospital there, Dan.  They did a good job of putting you back together.  Now rest up and heal.

You look like you've been through the wars!  Heal quickly, and thank goodness the camera is okay!  Grin
