I was helping my daughter move today. Next to her new place was a Church/school sale. I got a Pentax ME Super with 1.7 SMC 50mm and the original manuals for....$5.00 U.S. This thing looks almost unused so I will try her out with some film but shutter and viewfinder look fine all lights come on and move. Even the foam and bumpers look new.

Congratulations, Larry, that 50/1.7 has a good reputation. And the ME, if working, is a very handy tool.

I can't say anything about the price, envy is stopping my fingers.

LOL the roll is hanging to dry I will scan them later. Look good and sharp. I did forget on a few that it was bottom center weighted metering but I am pretty sure I can learn to adjust. :-) Nice thing it has 1/4 stop adjustments at the flip of a finger.

What a great buy, Larry.  I remember when the ME and MX first came out.  They were a sensation!
It was the at the beginning of the compact SLR craze.  My smallest SLR back then was a Nikkormat EL.

Show photos of your new camera, dude!

Nice catch Larry!
I have one as well and like Dean says, love the size of it. Quite like an OM 1 or OM 2 in comparison.
Looking forward to your photos from the test roll

My Daughter new I made a deal when she did not even hear me try to reduce the price. She used to love going to flea markets with me to just watch me barter. She told me every time she was waiting for a fight to break out and then when I shook hands with the dealer she was disappointed because no one got punched. :-)
