Bill,
Terrific shots! It has the Nikon stamp of crispness as opposed to the Leica glow.
No wonder the Nikon F became the standard by which other cameras were compared from the time it was introduced in the late 50s. It became the most popular street photographers' camera for a long time. IIRC.
I love city streets when they are just wet enough to make reflections. Two fine photos, Bravo!

Good shots. I've got that same lens in my F2 kit and gotten some very good results with it. It seems to be a very under-rated lens.

I love the Nikkor H 28 f3.5 lens. A couple of years back I borrowed my brother's 28 f2 Pr ai lens and I really didn't like using it at all. Give me the Pre Ai H 28 f3.5 or the Ai 28 f2.8 lens any day of the week and I can make magic with it.

Those are nice shots Bill, the kit looks like it does "street" very well. It makes me want to take my F kit out for a walk. I have the same 28mm as you, a 1.4 50 S and the 2.8 85 HC, unfortunately it doesn't get near the use it should.

Gorgeous stuff from both Bill and Graham! My mother-in-law has a Nikon F and I'm subtlely campaigning to inherit when she passes, which I hope won't be for many years to come. (King's X, knock wood)

Actually Bay St. is one of three major North-South streets in downtown Toronto and in the financial district, there is no street parking (there is on some East-West streets. All parking is underground and cost a small fortune during the week. That's why I take the commuter train downtown. |
