I'm still no-go on new threads, but I'm *guessing* that it's cookie-related. But my sorry butt's too tired, and the bed is calling. I'll try ag'in manana...
New threads? New posts? Both? If you think cookies are the issue, then dump your cache. If New Thread create is dieing on you: which forum, specifically, is this occurring within? ONLY REPORT this after you have flushed your cache, etc., and still find that you cannot create new threads.

Don't want to be alarmist, but I just got a warning about an "HTML/Framer" virus. AVG suggested quarantine, which I accepted. Anyone else experiencing this?
Was your e-mail running in the background, as I can almost guarantee you it did not come off our server/host. The back door I created by leaving the Apache firewall off on our account, done by leaving a tiny snippet of code in an .htaccess file, allowing me to modify php files from my local machine, was also the tool used to gain access to our forums building blocks most recently. As our forums are built on PHP, the ability to mod those files meant that any swingin' dick with the knowledge and desire to raise hell could modify our PHP documents, injecting malicious code into certain files, or pages, that, when called by the user(s), would attempt to redirect users or PHISH, etc. Now, with the firewall turned on, Error 403 is all yer gonna get if you attempt to hack into us now. Additionally, I pretty much went on a fire mission, purging everything I could find on our server that wasn't host-owned. Basically, I took us back to Day 1. Squeaky clean. Baby's ass. Etc. So, I am not an authority on the matter, and anything is possible. That said, I've just checked our files and I find no evidence of an intrusion. None of my scanners is going off, either. I maintain: We are clean. C.

It looks good to me so far, Craig. Thanks for all the hard work, and Norton is no longer jumping up and down. And hey, I can see all the Smileys now. PF

Spoke too soon. Got the Your PHP settings have been disabled by an H-Sphere administrator.
Your current PHP configuration: This configuration was changed: Wed May 23 16:17:50 UTC 2012 Please bring your PHP configuration in compliance with admin settings or request your administrator to re-enable support of your settings.
This was while trying to post a new thread in "The Classics", but I was able to post here earlier, so I don't think it's anything on my end. It looks like the PHP configuration has not been restored for posting new threads.

Do as I asked. Drop cookies on the floor. Flush cache. Clear out anything that could remain of old sessions. I promise you, the issue is not on host/server end. It is on your local machine. How can I promise this? I just created a dumb account with general permissions (standard user access) and posted a test thread to Classics. Repeat: Get rid of your old before attempting the new. BTW - that's the Apache firewall working as it should. You have, I imagine, something not-so-nice left in cache that is attempting to mod site content on reload and the system is now telling it to take a flying fuck at a rolling doughnut. As it should.

Also - unless, Allah forbid, you are still surfing via Morse Code, there's no reason to hang on to old cookies and crap after sessions. Configure your browser to shitcan all the old on DIE. It'll save you a lot of 404/403/500 headaches down the line.

Good to see NFf up and running again.
Guess I always knew NFf has an addictive quality and now I appreciate what Ray Milland went through in the "Lost Weekend. As soon as my shakes stop and I can hold a camera steady, I'll take and post some new pics.
Joking aside, having the old format on my screen again warms the heart and brightens my eyes. Let's all show our appreciation for Craig having created the best photo forum in town, and getting it back from the hackers.
Stepping off my soap box, putting down the bull horn, but holding up a sign that says
"Occupy Nelsonfoto forum!-- with new threads and more pics and lively comments."

Odd. Attempted to post a link. Failed with 403. Attempted to delete that link from the post, pre-submission. Not allowed, somehow, to cut or Sel_All_Del or backspace-to-delete. Not cool, but not sure what would cause this.
