My daughter is now nine years old. She is one of my favorite three models. I have been blessed.

Raid,

Lovely shots and why wouldn't they be? You have a choice of 3 ideal models who are patient and oh so photogenic.

Concert musicians not only perform, but practice diligently. Raid, I think your specialty of children portraits is honed so well, because you constantly practice and the charm of that niche is music to the eyes.

Raid - what a gorgeous young lady.  Those eyes!  What was the lens in the first one?

Very nice. I particularly like the third one -- the transition from in focus face to out of focus arms-all-over is well done.

Thank you Larry, Les, Dan, and Brazile.

Dan: I may used a Summilux 75mm lens in the first image, but I am not sure if this lens was used for all photos. Camera may have been a Leica M6. I am always taking photos of my daughters, and they are used to it. I have to move very fast as they give me sometimes "one photo only, Dad" moments.

Larry: She is a natural in front of a camera. All I need is some window light.

Les: You are always eloquent about it. I used to take photos of the National Parks and the American Southwest for so many years, and when we had Dana, I simply switched to photography of my child.

brazile: A lens with a large aperture can do such a transition when used wide open. It makes focusing also somewhat difficult. I try to focus on eye lashes.

You're a lucky man to have the models. They are lucky (young) women to have these pictures.  They'll be heirloom pictures in years to come.

Hello Philip,
I was thinking how lucky I was to do all the lens comparisons, using my daughters as models to see how good the lenses were. In the end, I got some good photos of them.
