Here are some highlights in the form of a 3.5 min wmv slideshow. All taken with a Minolta X-570 on Kodak Gold 200 film using various Minolta lenses.

Only got to see a little bit before my tablet threw me an error, will check it out when I get home. On that note, what I did see looked great! Just slow enough shutter to show some wheel blur but still get the cars sharp.

Nice series, Tom. Those are beautiful machines (I like Porsche cars anyway).  My favorites are the pit shots.

Rich-In the past I spent a lot of time trying to pan these fast-movers at 1/125 and 1/250 for more motion blur, and while I did get some delightful photos, it was at the expense of a lot of film. In particular, I've found it to be a very difficult task to pan a vehicle moving toward me at an angle. This time most exposures were at 1/500 or thereabouts, and I got sufficient, though not dramatic blur, but wasted no film.

Julio, Thanks for the compliment. I find the pit shots to be fun myself, though often when these cars are taken apart in the pits they are hardly recognizable-just metal boxes with skins that look familiar. I try to avoid those shots by attempting to shoot whole vehicles. The Porsche is such a strong marque at ANY sports car race. I doesn't seem to matter what class of race, the Porsches are there in strength.

PF-I spent way too much time putting that movie together in PSE 6. Seemed like every time I tried there was a problem. Even this one has problems, but I threw my hands up and said, "Enough, post it!" It should have taken me 15 minutes, but instead it took much longer to produce the thing. I was going to blame myself, but instead I'll dodge it by saying that sometimes software writers have a screw loose.

Sometimes?
